The High End Computing Cluster is a centrally-managed facility to support researchers and research students at Lancaster who require high performance computing. This includes programs which might run for more than one hour on the interactive Unix service, programs which require a gigabyte or more of memory, or programs which require access to datasets of more than a gigabyte in size.
If you think you need an account on the HEC, please ask your Departmental IT Contact to apply to ISS on your behalf, giving a brief explanation of the type work to be undertaken. Members of the following departments should contact their HEC representative instead:
