The possible support that DSA funds will depend on your particular disability.

DSAs may help with the cost of:

  • Specialist equipment (EXAMPLE: computer software)
  • Non-medical helpers (EXAMPLE: study skills support)
  • Extra travel costs you have to pay because of your disability
  • Other costs like photocopying.

DSAs do not cover non-academic disability-related costs (EXAMPLE: personal assistants/carers) or costs that any student might have (EXAMPLE: core textbooks) as a result of studying.

Please be aware that what is available may change in the coming years. For more information, please contact the Disability Service or use this link.
